THE KNOWLEDGE EXCHANGE, LEEDS BECKETT UNIVERSITY
THE CONTEXT

THE CONTEXT
The Knowledge Exchange (TKE) is Leeds Beckett University’s city-centre business hub and the front door to the University’s knowledge, expertise and talent. It connects businesses (mainly SMEs) with academic expertise, the University's business support programmes, collaborative spaces, events and opportunities for innovation and growth.
When I joined the team, its LinkedIn content covered many different events, programmes and business services. Although the page was active, the wide range of information made it difficult for new audiences to quickly understand what The Knowledge Exchange was, what it offered and how its work connected with the wider University.
MY TASKS
As a Marketing & Events Assistant, I managed TKE’s monthly social media (mainly LinkedIn) and email content and supported event promotion, registration and on-the-day delivery.
THE APPROACH
As a Marketing & Events Assistant, I helped refresh The Knowledge Exchange’s visual identity and content strategy to build a clearer and more consistent brand presence.
I updated key brand touchpoints, including the logo and LinkedIn banner, and shifted the page from mainly event-led promotion towards a more balanced content mix. Alongside promoting events and programmes, I created evergreen and animated content explaining the organisation’s purpose, services and connection to Leeds Beckett University. I also featured academics and business development colleagues to showcase the expertise available to businesses.
